Three years ago, Kerching Retail launched another UK first at Stratford City, London.  A training 'boot camp' designed for retailers and evening trade businesses.  Now a popular tool for town and city centres to support their retail and leisur businesses.

Boot Camp pulls together a series of intensive training and advice sessions, ran by leading industry experts, over 3-4 days on location.  

Local businesses can drop in and out of relevant sessions and send their staff  to help develop their skills too.  Businesses are not expected to sit through 3 days consecutive training.

The great aspect of Boot Camp is that businesses don't have to travel to Birmingham, Manchester or London to attend retail seminars – leading UK speakers are brought into their local town/city.  This also means workshops are tailored around local challenges.

Cost to local businesses

Admission is free for local retailers and evening trade businesses.  Seats are reserved prior to each session by email or mobile.

What kind of training is provided?

Day 1: 

10am – 12pm: Welcome – Getting your store to sell for you.  Layout, hotspots, stimulating the senses, visual merchandising.  Ideal for business owners. 

2pm – 4pm: Getting your staff selling for you.  Asking the right questions, selling up and add on selling.  Ideal for your shop floor staff to attend. 

6pm – 7pm: Open Surgery – Get your retail business questions answered. 

Day 2:  

10am – 12pm: Customer Psychology – How and why we buy, understand what customers are thinking and how to influence them.  Ideal for all staff/owners

2pm – 4pm: Digital masterclass – SEO, Social Media and everything in between.  Ideal for staff and business owners.

6pm – 7pm: Evening Trade Open Surgery – Get your restaurant, takeaway, venue and pub  questions answered.

Day 3: 

10am – 12pm: Promotion Planning.  Promotions are not just about giving stock away cheap – they're about driving traffic, driving urgency and driving sales.  Ideal for staff and business owners.

2pm – 4pm: Customer Retention – Loyalty, Follow-up, Events – keep customers coming back. Ideal for business owners.

4pm: Close

Programmes can be tailored around local business needs, and do not necessarily need to follow the agenda above.
